You can depend on the integrity of an FDANZ funeral director. There is a minimum requirement for the premises and facilities that all FDANZ members must offer in order to deliver professional funeral services.
There currently isn’t any legislation governing the provision of funeral services in New Zealand, so that means anyone can call themselves a funeral director and set up a funeral home. We can’t stress enough how important it is for a funeral director to have adequate experience, training and appropriate vehicles, as well as the premises and skills to provide the care and support you and the deceased deserve.
