Pre-arranged Funerals

Making your own funeral arrangements

More and more these days, people are choosing to pre-plan their own funeral. While we might not like to think about funerals, especially our own, pre-planning your funeral means you can remove a lot of the responsibility and stress from your family and loved ones during such a difficult time.

It allows you to express your wishes and preferences and design your own personal send-off. It’s also helpful for your family to know the things you want to happen, as well as those things that you don’t. You’d be surprised how many families don’t know the final wishes of the deceased – perhaps because we tend not to talk much about death, or in cases of sudden and unexpected loss.

You can also choose to pre-pay for your funeral, this helps to alleviate any financial concerns for your family. This is completely safe and secure as all funds are held in the FDANZ Funeral Trust.

  • Advantages in Planning Ahead

    By planning your own funeral ahead of time, you relieve your loved ones the stress and difficulty of making tough decisions during an emotional and challenging time. Plus you get to specify the type of service you’d like, which means your family can rest easy knowing they were able to fulfill your wishes.

    If you have an idea of what you'd like at your funeral, you can specify those things, such as;

    Type of service
    Related events (viewing, wake, religious events)
    Attendees
    Officiant & eulogies
    Prayers & readings
    Songs & music
    Pallbearers
    Charitable donations
