We plan for nearly every financial eventuality we may face in life - retirement, contents insurance, car insurance, retirement and so on. Yet, when it comes to funerals, many of us don't like to think about them, let alone plan in advance.
Thinking about your own funeral is difficult for some, but, as funeral directors will tell you, it is not unusual for the grieving family to be unaware of the deceased's funeral wishes. Expressing them in advance will help your family to carry out your wishes. It's never an easy thing to do, but organising a funeral can be far less painful if you know what to expect and what choices you'll have to make.
The FDANZ Family Bereavement Plan helps cover the cost of your funeral expenses in advance and assists in alleviating the financial burden often felt by loved ones at a distressing time.

Simply talk to us at Waihi Funeral Services Ltd. You choose the type of funeral you want and can afford. Anyone can join, regardless of his or her age or state of health. Any FDANZ member in New Zealand can carry out a funeral pre-arranged and pre-paid through the FDANZ Family Bereavement Plan. This means if you move to another part of the country your wishes can still be respected. If you change your mind, simply advise us in writing within 21 days of applying to participate in the Plan and your money will be refunded in full.
The FDANZ Family Bereavement Plan is a specially designed life insurance policy issued by Sovereign Assurance Company Limited, one of New Zealand's leading financial services providers and part of the ASB Group of Companies.
