Waihi Funeral Services is a family owned and operated business.  We service Waihi, Waihi Beach, Katikati, Paeroa, Whangamata and surrounding districts.

In January 2011 Simon and Donna Manukonga and their three children moved from Taupo to take over Waihi Funeral Services.  Simon is a qualified Funeral Director and qualified Embalmer and is a member of the Funeral Directors Association (FDANZ) and the New Zealand Embalmers Association (NZEA).  He started funeral directing in 2000 after working for seven years as a Registered Nurse.

Donna has been a qualified Counsellor since 2000.  Specialising in grief and loss issues,

Donna is a member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC).  She formerly spent 16 years as a Registered Nurse.  Donna's family have owned and operated Taupo Funeral Services since the 1970's.

Simon and Donna are known for their concern and sensitivity to the welfare of bereaved families and are aware of their specific needs.  Families appreciate their courteous manner.

Waihi Funeral Services offer a wide range of


funeral services, from arranging the funeral, providing memorial books and hymn sheets and headstones for both cremation and burial plots.  They are a member of the New Zealand Monumental Masons Association and also a member of the Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand, which is the hallmark of expertise and integrity for the New Zealand funeral industry.
